Feeling like no matter how much time and effort you put into your work, you’ll never get it done? Or, perhaps it’s done, but it’s not ready for the finicky eyes of your target audience. You are not alone. Your writing coach is there every step of the way, offering encouragement, feedback, and invaluable insights. It’s a partnership forged in the fires of creative passion, each bringing their unique perspective to the table.
So if you’re ready to unleash your inner wordsmith, and embark on a journey of literary exploration, look no further than a writing coach. Together, you’ll navigate the stormy seas of creativity, forging a path towards literary greatness, pen in hand, and imagination ablaze.
Now, it won’t be all puppy dogs and exquisitely written rainbows. Your coach will push you to refine your ideas, set key goals, and provide the brutal (but honest) feedback you need to take your writing to the next level. They’re one part teacher, two parts cheerleader–and 100% on your side!
What can you expect from your writing coach?
Every writing coach has their own unique style, but all WordBlot writing coaches offer:
- Virtual (Zoom) sessions designed to outline your needs, develop your ideas, and build up your concepts;
- Guidance, motivation, and feedback as you develop and draft your project; and
- Milestones to assess accountability.
A writing coach will not directly edit your manuscript; instead, they will help you get it ready for the final stages.
How writing coaches can help
Our writing coaches have worked with some of the best-selling writers as editors, co-authors, and ghost-writers. They know how to develop an author’s voice and are also intimately familiar with today’s ultra-competitive publishing industry.
So whether you’re looking to self-publish, land a book deal, get a better grade, craft a stunning piece of copy, or simply take your writing to the next level, WordBlot is here for you!

FAQ
Who should hire a writing coach?
If you’re having trouble saying what you mean–or meaning what you say–a writing coach can help! Like in a sports environment, writing coaches keep you on track and correct your mistakes, pushing you beyond your limits when you believe you simply can’t do anymore (because the secret is, you always can).
We also offer group coaching so your organization can strengthen their writing skills together!
What can I get help with?
Like consultants, coaches provide guidance on any and all document types (publications, novels, textbooks, website content, manuals, theses and dissertation chapters, and research articles for publication). Other examples include scientific abstracts, grant and scholarship applications, and every bit of creative writing!
NOTE: Writing coaches do not edit your document. They will point out grammatical and spelling errors and areas for improvement, but Editing is very different from Writing Coaching.
What types of coaching appointments are there?
There are two types of consultations available: a thirty-minute online dialogue via Zoom and a thirty-minute Written Consultation with a coach, which takes place in real time, but not face-to-face. At the end of a Written Consultation, the Writing Coach uploads your document or template with written commentary, suggestions, and links for you to download.
